The initiative invites global electric vehicle manufacturers to set up shop in India with a minimum investment of ₹4,150 crore.
Applicants will be permitted to import high-value EVs at reduced customs duty for five years, provided they meet domestic value addition targets. “This is more than a policy, it’s an invitation,” said Union Minister H.D.
