Born in Delhi and finishing her Fashion Designing from YWCA in 1989, she is the creative force behind the burgeoning business ‘SUIT-ME’ based in New Delhi. With her roots entrenched in Delhi, Kavita beautifully infuses the traditional concepts with the modern aesthetic into her designs. Her journey is a testament to resilience and the pursuit of passion. After a successful career as a designer in an export house, she took a break to focus on her family. However, her observant eye and commitment to sustainable fashion led her to start ‘SUIT-ME’ last year, addressing the gap in the market for trendy and sustainable clothing for middle-aged women. The brand aims to provide bespoke, sustainable fashion that celebrates the unique spirit of Indian women.
In the first year of operations, ‘SUIT-ME’ has achieved significant success, selling over a thousand tailor-made garments and gaining a loyal clientele of over 100 repeat customers.
