In new Avatar, Biking Queens serves the corona warriors and community during lockdown

Surat, Gujarat (India) : In view of safety of Corona Warriors of Gujarat Police, Surat based Biking Queen Charitable Trust (Famously known as Biking Queens) has installed large sized standing umbrellas at various traffic points to ensure the safety of our policemen. These umbrellas will protect our corona warriors from extreme heat who are taking all possible steps to implement strict lockdown to stop spreading corona virus.
As a responsible citizen friends and family members of Biking Queens have been distributing food to about 10,000 migrant workers and poor people from the beginning of the lockdown. Also, availability of biscuits and milk pouch for the children’s and pregnant women was ensured as they are most vulnerable to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Talking about relief and rehabilitation work Dr. Sarika Mehta, Founder, Biking Queens Charitable Trust said, “We feel happy to be the part of government’s efforts in managing the current situation. In these tough times I want to thank our corona warriors who are committed in putting India First by ensuring safety of all humans. From the beginning of the lockdown, we have launched various initiatives to help the needy people and we will continue to do it.”
During relief work all the norms and guidelines issued by the Government of India and Gujarat Government were strictly followed by the volunteers such as maintain social distancing, wearing masks & gloves and frequent use of sanitizers.
It is to mention that few months back The Biking Queens had successfully completed their historic Bike Expedition from India to London in 89 days. The Biking Queens visited 21 Nations covering 21,000+ kms in 3 continents, propagating the message – “Ride for Women’s Pride” and “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”.
